Overview

Known by many names, the Guimbarde is one of the oldest known musical instruments.  Slide a finger along the left or right side of the instrument to change its tone.  Tap anywhere else to play a note.  (Be sure the phone is not switched into silent mode otherwise the sounds will not play.)

(Some other names for the Guimbarde are:  gewgaw, jaw harp, Jew’s harp, Jew’s trump, juice harp, mouth harp, Ozark harp, and marranzano pancake.)
